About ChanMi's Art Journey
Born in Seoul, South Korea, and now based in the Philadelphia area, ChanMi Jung Pyles is a contemporary contemplative abstract artist whose work explores the intersection of faith, Scripture, and the human journey with God. Grounded in the promise of Revelation 21:5—“I am making everything new”—her art journey is rooted in the belief that God is continually at work, bringing renewal, hope, and beauty even in the midst of uncertainty and brokenness. Through intuitive layers of acrylic, texture, movement, and genuine gold leaf, ChanMi creates visual invitations to pause, reflect, and encounter God’s presence in every season of life. In Journey by Faith, she invites viewers to consider their own journeys with God, trusting that the One who makes all things new is also at work in each of our stories.

Through contemporary abstract paintings and poetry inspired by Scripture, Journey By Faith explores trusting God through seasons of dreaming, waiting, persevering, and becoming. More than an art exhibition, it is an interactive journey—inviting visitors to move through the exhibition as fellow travelers, engaging with art, reflection, and Scripture while encountering the God who faithfully leads his people by faith.
Presented in partnership with Scripture Union-USA, Journey By Faith also supports Scripture Union's ministry. Twenty percent of artwork sales from the exhibition will support the ministry of Scripture Union-USA.
