(Piece 5)

I Cannot, But God Can

From Movement 1: Trusting by Faith
Journey By Faith Exhibition by ChanMi Jung Pyles

When Pharaoh asks Joseph to interpret his dreams, Joseph does not claim the ability for himself. Instead, he immediately points beyond himself to God: “It is not in me; God will give Pharaoh a favorable answer.”

After years of hardship and waiting, Joseph arrives at a moment where his gifts could have become a source of self-confidence. Instead, he recognizes the true source of what he is able to do.
I Cannot, But God Can is an invitation to release the pressure to have every answer and to trust the One who can accomplish what we cannot do in our own strength.
