In late October 2024, I had the honor of returning to The Well Church in NYC, located at the Scandinavia House, 58 Park Ave (between 37th & 38th St), to showcase a new art collection titled What A Friend.
The What A Friend collection is inspired by the enduring friendship of Jesus.
Each painting reflects a unique aspect of His unwavering companionship:
What a Friend We Have in Jesus (24" x 24")
Steadfast Till the End (16" x 20")
A Friend Loves at All Times (16" x 20")
Where You Go, I Will Go (16" x 20")
Forgiven and Treasured (16" x 20")
Come to Me (all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest) (16" x 20")
Through vibrant colors, layered textures, and dynamic movements, this series invites viewers to explore the deep, unfailing love of Jesus—a love that transcends earthly relationships. Unlike friends who come and go, Jesus loves unconditionally, offers complete forgiveness, and provides true rest. He is steadfast and ever-present, guiding us through life’s peaks and valleys.

These acrylic works, created using spatulas, emphasize imperfection as a metaphor for life’s complexities. The textures convey the highs and lows of human experience, while bursts of bright color symbolize the joy, strength, and renewal found in Jesus’ friendship. Genuine gold leaf represents His divine presence, transforming even the hardest moments into opportunities for spiritual growth.
This collection offers a vibrant, life-filled invitation to a relationship with Jesus. In an increasingly isolating and divided world, His friendship remains a constant source of refreshment, restoration, and hope.
It was a joy to share my art collection, What A Friend, with The Well Church. The collection will be on display every Sunday at the Scandinavia House, located at 58 Park Ave, NYC.
I also wrote a poem about the enduring and faithful friendship we have in Jesus. My hope and prayer are that this art collection, along with the poem, will draw more people into the transformative friendship of Jesus.
